A Civic Duty

I had Jury Duty late last week. It's something that I think everyone should do, if they have the chance. Law and Order shouldn't be the sole source of out knowledge of the legal system, so a look on the inside should be informational. I wasn't selected for a trial - instead, I learned an entire new definition of boring.

I got called for jury duty a few years back, and I wanted sooo bad to be on a jury. But they wouldn't let me. I'm disabled, and cannot know when I might get dizzy and need to hold onto something.

I almost cried when they said I was dismissed.

I grew up watching the Defenders and Perry Mason. I always wanted to grow and be a member of the jury.
